Welcome to Sumaga Education Institute. By enrolling in our programs or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before proceeding with enrollment or using our facilities.

1. Enrollment and Admission

By enrolling at Sumaga Education Institute:

  • Students must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Admission is subject to availability and meeting entrance requirements
  • The institute reserves the right to accept or reject any application
  • Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of registration fees
  • Students must maintain satisfactory attendance and academic progress

2. Fees and Payment

Payment terms and conditions:

  • All fees must be paid in advance on or before the due date
  • Late payments may incur additional charges
  • Registration and admission fees are non-refundable
  • Tuition fees may be refunded only under specific circumstances as outlined in our refund policy
  • The institute reserves the right to revise fees with 30 days' notice
  • Students with outstanding fees may be barred from attending classes or taking examinations

3. Student Conduct and Responsibilities

Students are expected to:

  • Maintain regular attendance and arrive on time for classes
  • Show respect to teachers, staff, and fellow students
  • Complete assignments and homework on time
  • Maintain proper discipline and conduct within institute premises
  • Not engage in any form of academic dishonesty or misconduct
  • Take care of institute property and facilities
  • Follow all institute rules, policies, and safety guidelines

4. Class Schedules and Changes

Important information regarding classes:

  • The institute reserves the right to modify class schedules with reasonable notice
  • Classes may be rescheduled due to public holidays, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances
  • Make-up classes will be provided for institute-cancelled sessions
  • Students are responsible for staying informed about schedule changes through official communications
  • Minimum enrollment numbers may be required to run a class

5. Withdrawal and Termination

Withdrawal policy:

  • Students wishing to withdraw must provide written notice
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to our refund policy
  • The institute reserves the right to terminate enrollment for misconduct, non-payment, or violation of terms
  • No refund will be provided for terminations due to student misconduct
  • All institute property and materials must be returned upon withdrawal

6. Intellectual Property

All educational materials, including but not limited to notes, worksheets, presentations, and online content provided by Sumaga Education Institute are the intellectual property of the institute. Students may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or share materials without permission
  • Use materials for commercial purposes
  • Claim authorship of institute-created content

7. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide the highest quality education, Sumaga Education Institute does not guarantee specific academic outcomes or examination results. The institute shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by the student for the current term.

8. Health and Safety

Students and parents must inform the institute of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect the student's participation. The institute will take reasonable measures to ensure student safety but cannot be held responsible for accidents or injuries resulting from student misconduct or failure to follow safety guidelines.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Student information is collected, stored, and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By enrolling, you consent to the collection and use of personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Amendments

Sumaga Education Institute reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be communicated through official channels, and continued enrollment constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
